Everything you capture stays on your device and in your own iCloud. We have no servers and no access to it.
No account, no login, no ads, no third-party tracking, no selling of data.
Anonymous usage analytics help us learn whether the app is useful — they contain no personal information and none of your transaction content.
What you enter stays yours
All the information you capture — merchant, amount, date, your explanation, business/personal, reimbursable status, and category — is stored on your device and synced through your own iCloud account (Apple's CloudKit private database), so your entries survive a lost phone and appear on your other devices. This data is:
never transmitted to us or to any third party;
not accessible to us — we operate no servers that receive it;
synced and backed up only within your iCloud account, which is controlled by you and Apple, not by us. If you are not signed into iCloud, the app simply stores everything locally.
If you use the Export feature, a CSV file is created from your data and shared only to the destination you choose (e.g. Mail, Files, AirDrop). We never receive a copy.
Anonymous analytics
To learn whether features are actually used, the app sends anonymous usage signals through TelemetryDeck, a privacy-focused analytics service. These signals:
contain no personal information and none of your transaction details (no merchant, amount, or explanation text);
record only that an action occurred (for example, that a search was performed or an entry was saved), plus basic anonymous app/device info;
are not linked to your identity and are not used to track you across apps or websites.
No accounts, ads, or tracking
The app has no sign-up or login, shows no advertising, and does not use any advertising or cross-app tracking identifiers.
Purchases
The optional Contexa Pro subscription is processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never see or store your payment details, and no purchase requires creating an account with us.
Your control and data deletion
You can edit or delete any entry at any time within the app.
Deleting an entry in the app also removes it from your iCloud sync.
Deleting the app removes all of its on-device data; data synced to your iCloud can be removed by deleting entries in the app first, or via iOS Settings → your name → iCloud → Manage Storage.
Children
The app is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Changes
We may update this policy; the "Last updated" date reflects the latest version.
